Dr. Joseph Zimmerman

Dr. Zimmerman grew up in Morton, attending Jefferson Grade School, Morton Jr High, and Morton High School. Upon graduation from Morton schools, he attended Illinois State University for 2 years. He transferred to University of Illinois/Champaign in pre-dentistry, and the following year began dental school at University of Illinois in Chicago.

In 1977 he received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Returning home to Morton, Dr. Zimmerman established his practice of general dentistry. He truly enjoys seeing several generations of the families he is privileged to serve over the years.

Dr. Zimmerman is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, and the Peoria District Dental Society.

To keep up with current advances in dentistry, Dr. Zimmerman has attended numerous postgraduate education courses in general dentistry, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and implant prosthetics.

Faith and family are most important to Dr. Zimmerman. He and his wife Barb are the parents of three children and two grandchildren! Dr. Zimmerman enjoys playing tennis, community volunteering, and traveling to our great nation’s beautiful National Parks.
